The other day in my Sports Marketing class at Howard University’s School of Business, we categorized people according to the type of sport’s fan they were. My very good friend, who will remain anonymous, shouted out in front of the entire class that I, Laquia Nicole, am an Extremist! Meaning, I like thrills, adventures, and whatever else that can give me a rush! In spite of my desire to remain inconspicuous, I couldn’t deny that it COULD be true! Just last summer, I went skydiving with my Dad, and we fell 13000 ft at 120 mph.
I loved every second of it and can’t wait to go again, after going zip lining, white water rafting, and everything else on my list of things to do. While I’m not convinced that I am an extremist, I do know that I have a thirst for life and adventure that can only be quenched through experience.
My latest experience is joining the Peace Corps. While it is not official yet, (still going through this ridiculous process) there is no better time like the present to begin documenting this incomparable experience. The majority of my blog will highlight my journey as a Peace Corps nominee, invitee, and then VOLUNTEER, but I will be sure to document the other adventures I embark on as well!
After all, the world is my playground, and I’ve only reached the sandbox.
Hey!
This is a really great blog! All the best with Peace Corps, ill keep an eye out for your progress!

THANKS GAIL! SO Happy you care enough to check in!
Hey fellow Bison, keep us posted on your developments. I too was an adventurer. I didn’t dive out of a plane, but I traveled – a lot.
Love what you’re doing.
